Titanium Quartz is often considered the most powerful of all the Quartz coated crystals. It’s stunning iridescent colors and intricate form make it a stunning sight to behold, and its power is just as strong to match.
Whether it’s being used for meditation, jewelry, or simply as decor, you will find strength and power through association with this crystal.
Its rainbow and iridescent colors are created when the stone is placed in a chamber where metal oxides and vaporized Titanium can be bonded to the Quartz (see also ‘15 Beautiful Aurora Crystals‘).
You can watch as its different colors shine and glisten when you move it around in the light, the rays catching on all the intricate geometric shapes within its form.
Titanium Quartz is incredibly rare, which makes it particularly sought after. Another reason that many people want to get their hands on it is because it is incredibly powerful.
Not only does it aid your mental activity and allow you to project your own strength, but this crystal is known for improving and energizing your entire body and chakra system – who wouldn’t want to have a crystal like this in their possession?
Titanium Quartz Meaning & History
When Titanium was first discovered, it was called Gregorite after William Gregor, the man who first discovered it in 1791.
Two years later, a German chemist named Klaproth would discover it as well, and name it what we know it today: Titanium.
Klaproth chose this name from the Greek Titans in their mythology, they were the incarnation of natural strength, so it made sense to name this incredibly tough and strong chemical after it.
It was later clarified that Gregor had been the first person to discover it, but even though he is credited with its discovery, the element kept the name given to it by Klaproth.
Titanium Quartz, therefore, is not a natural crystal, but one that has been specially treated.
As mentioned before, you need to place Quartz in a specific chamber with vaporized Titanium and other oxidized metals that will bind to the Quartz.
This process results in the delicate and intricate crystal that we know as Titanium Quartz. It is incredibly potent and durable, even when compared to other coated Quartz.

This clearing will leave you feeling centered and grounded, which in turn will lead to you feeling much more positive about things – it’s so much easier to feel good about yourself and your life once all the cobwebs have been blown away.

Titanium Quartz Forms
Quartz itself is one of the more recurrent minerals that can be found in the Earth’s crust. In its natural form, Quartz is colorless, looking more like glass.
It is a particularly rigid stone that can be combined with a large variety of other volcanic, metamorphic, or sedimentary rocks – sometimes this combination occurs naturally, and sometimes, like with Titanium Quartz, we give it a push.
Titanium Quartz can be created in a variety of different forms. It can be a geode, or a tumbled stone.
However, I prefer it, and find that it is more powerful when it remains in a more natural form (or as natural as you can be with an unnatural material).
Titanium Quartz Origin
Though Quartz can be found just about anywhere in the world, this specific form of Titanium Quartz can only be made in a lab.
However, interestingly, Brazil, and the state of Arkansas in the USA are the two largest producers of natural quartz in the world.
